Love it or Leave it...Sephora by OPI

We probably sound like a broken record, but WE LOVE NAIL POLISH!  Do you feel how passionate we are about the subject?  And lots of you who read our blog also share in our polish obsession. We want to share with you today a different kind of polish.  Sephora by OPI recently added a new kind of polish to their already large selection...Betsey Johnson Too Too Scented Nail Colour in It's My Pink.  What did that just say??  Yes, a nail polish that is infused with a perfume.  Huh?

What Sephora Says...

What it is:
A hot pink polish designed by Betsey Johnson and infused with her Too Too Fragrance.

What it does:
This nail lacquer is the ultimate accessory—combining Betsey's favorite neon pink shade and her signature, flirty fragrance in one scented polish.  The bold hue perfectly complements any afternoon adventure or adds a playful pop of color to an evening out with the girls.  Flash your fingers and take in the effervescent, fruity scent with every flick of your wrist.

Retails USD:  $9.50

Has anyone tried this yet or anything like it?  We wonder if the addition of a fragrance changes the formula at all.  And just how potent is this polish?  We would hate for a lovely polish like this to give us girls a not so lovely headache!  Would you guys try this?  The color is gorgeous and perfect for Spring & Summer, but...

We'd love to know YOUR thoughts!

  1. i think i would try it only if one of my friends did it so i could see how long the smell lasts! i'm really particular about perfumes so I wouldn't want the wrong smell to be stuck on my fingers! it's a great idea though.

ps: i linked your blog in my post today!

  3. The color is gorgeous but I'm not too sure about it being perfumed. I'm a scent addict but in a nailpolish? Will wait for your review, if you plan to try it. It's not available in my part of the world.

  4. I have this polish and have tried it. I actually really like it! The scent is subtle, I could only really smell it if I had my nails next to my nose. The scent lasted the full three days I wore this polish, through showers and countless hand washings! The formula was great too :) I liked how this polish was infused with a perfume, and not just scented something generic like grape or cherry :)

  5. Tried it...not a fan. I must not like scented polishes...but the smell was just too overwhelming. I do like the color however.

  6. I have a scented revlon polish that I got last summer. I always forget it is scented until I scratch my face or something and then it is a nice little surprise. The consistency was the same as a regular polish. I say go for it!

  7. I smelt in in the Sephora store last weekend and it just smelt like nail polish. It was very strong but I couldn't smell the perfume at all!

  9. The colour alone has got my attention, let alone the fact that it's scented. Sounds fabulous!

  15. It's a cute idea, but you're right, I would be curious as to how potent it is! And I'm just not sure I could handle that. I mean everytime you lift food or a fork to your mouth, wouldn't you smell that polish? I just don't think I could do it.

  16. It is a beautiful color BUT I'm not into the perfume thing. I would totally skip it. Plus, it just seems a little wierd to me.

  19. Interesting. It's a gorgeous color but I wonder if it chips more easily? Or how long does the perfume smell last? How potent is it? I'm curious, but probably not curious enough to actually buy it.

  20. Nail polish doesn't usually smell good, so I guess their intention was a good one but I can't imagine the fragrance would be one that we would find super appealing and it probably won't last beyond the drying phase :)

  23. This is interesting! I wonder how long the smell lasts - like if it just goes away when you wash your hands. I'll have to take a look at this next time I hit up Sephora.

  24. Sounds great - my bf hates the smell of nailpolishes so I son't do my nails that often. :D This would be great.. But haven't tried so don't know how it really works on nails.

Thanks for the comment girls ! Well, no TV means more me-time and us-time with bf ^^ Hehe.

    Have a great day,

  25. It's a beautiful color, but the idea of scented nail polish is as ridiculous as scented bleach. You shouldn't smell nail polish. And even if it holds the fragrance after it's dry, I don't want my fingers giving off a scent. Maybe I'm alone in this lol
